A leading manufacturer of small engines up to 25 hp wanted to explore lower-cost gaskets without sacrificing reliability.

Interface Solutions analyzed the performance of a rubber-edge metal gasket, a fiber gasket, and a Select-a- Seal gasket—including a 400-hour thermal cycling test. While a conventional gasket allowed leaks, the Select-a-Seal gasket demonstrated durability equivalent to the rubberedged metal gasket, at a significantly lower cost.
